Quality Engineer

ERA RF Technologies, located at Teknopark Istanbul, develops domestic and national solutions in the fields of RF communication and defense technologies.

 

We are looking for an “Quality Engineer” to join our Quality Management team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor design and development processes from a quality perspective to ensure compliance with AS9100 and integrated quality management system requirements, and provide support for the improvement of these processes;
  • Ensure that design inputs, design outputs, reviews, verification, and validation activities comply with established requirements;
  • Oversee configuration management, baselines, revisions, and product traceability throughout the design and product life cycle in accordance with quality requirements;
  • Review Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, specifications, product structures, and related technical documentation to ensure they meet quality and documentation standards, and manage their controlled release;
  • Support the assessment of design and product changes—evaluating their impact on quality, manufacturability, verification, configuration, and traceability—and monitor change-related activities;
  • Evaluate the need for verification, validation, and First Article Inspection (FAI) following design changes, and track the execution of these activities;
  • Monitor non-conformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement that arise during design and development processes; provide support for root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives;
  • Manage processes related to customer-initiated technical changes, deviations, special approvals, and feedback. Ensuring that relevant requirements are accurately reflected in design and product documentation,
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on quality performance indicators related to design processes,
  • Managing quality documentation processes (procedures, instructions, plans, etc.) in compliance with AS9100 and integrated quality management system requirements, and ensuring that such documentation remains up to date,
  • Preparing for internal and external audits (including customer, certification body, supplier, and process audits), participating in these audits, and tracking subsequent improvement activities,
  • Supporting the evaluation of supplier processes that impact design and product requirements, monitoring supplier performance, and facilitating necessary improvement initiatives,
  • Playing an active role in process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and digitalization projects, and contributing to the ongoing development of quality processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical-Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field from a university,
  • Possess knowledge of AS9100 and integrated quality management systems,
  • Have knowledge and/or experience in design and development processes and design quality assurance,
  • Be familiar with design inputs/outputs, design reviews, verification, validation, and change management processes,
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, interpreting, and reviewing technical drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), specifications, and other relevant technical/product documentation,
  • Possess knowledge of configuration management, revision control, baselines, and product traceability,
  • Exhibit strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting skills,
  • Be proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel,
  • Possess strong communication and coordination skills, with an aptitude for teamwork,
  • Be open to learning and professional development, disciplined, and result-oriented,
  • Have no restrictions regarding travel,
  • Have no issues commuting to the Technopark Istanbul (Pendik/Istanbul) location. 

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience in design, product development, or quality processes within the defense, aerospace, electronics, or high-tech sectors;
  • Experience with requirements related to design and development, configuration management, product safety, and change management under the AS9100 standard;
  • Knowledge of FAI/AS9102 processes and product verification activities following design changes;
  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP;
  • Knowledge of Design FMEA (DFMEA), risk analysis, and design verification activities;
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP, PLM, or document/configuration management systems;
  • Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel Power Query, or similar;
  • English language proficiency sufficient to read and understand technical documentation;
  • Certifications or training in fields such as quality, design quality assurance, configuration management, process improvement, or project management.
