Information Technology Specialist

ERA RF Technologies, located at Teknopark Istanbul, develops domestic and national solutions in the fields of RF communication and defense technologies.

 

We are looking for an “Information Technology Specialist” to join our Information Technology team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working in coordination with the IT team, actively participate in daily operations, maintenance, monitoring, technical support, and improvement activities for the company’s information technology infrastructure;
  • Address technical support requests from company employees regarding computers, hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals; analyze issues to provide solutions or escalate them to the appropriate departments when necessary;
  • Perform the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other IT equipment;
  • Handle the installation, configuration, and updating of Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as basic troubleshooting; provide technical support for software applications used within the company;
  • Manage user accounts, email access, computer systems, and access permissions for new hires, employees changing roles, or staff leaving the company;
  • Assist the IT team with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, email systems, file-sharing services, and user authorization processes;
  • Conduct basic checks on wired and wireless network infrastructure, internet connectivity, VPNs, and network devices; assist in identifying and resolving connectivity issues;
  • Support daily monitoring, maintenance, and operational checks for servers, data storage, backup, and virtualization systems;
  • Contribute to the implementation of antivirus solutions, endpoint security, operating system updates, and information security policies;
  • Maintain an up-to-date IT inventory; track hardware, software licenses, asset assignments, warranties, and maintenance schedules;
  • Document technical support requests, actions taken, and system changes. Preparing and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation,
  • Contributing to process improvement, automation, and development initiatives aimed at enhancing the continuity and efficiency of the IT infrastructure,
  • Assisting the IT team with installation, maintenance, repair, and support processes involving external service providers and technical vendors,
  • Working in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures regarding information security, confidentiality, and occupational health and safety.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Programming, Information Technology, or a related field,
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in information technology, system administration, network technologies, or end-user technical support,
  • Knowledge and experience in the installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 and Linux operating systems,
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, peripherals, hardware fault diagnosis, and software installation processes,
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, with the ability to provide user support,
  • Familiarity with fundamental network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WLAN, and VPN,
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Active Directory, user accounts, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and access authorization processes,
  • Knowledge of fundamental information security, antivirus software, data backup, and access security practices,
  • Capable of analyzing technical issues, possessing a systematic approach to problem-solving, with an inquisitive nature and a willingness to learn,
  • Strong communication skills, with a solution- and service-oriented mindset,
  • Diligent and organized in task tracking, documentation, planning, and prioritization,
  • A strong team player with a sense of responsibility, capable of adapting to a dynamic work environment,
  • No issues regarding commuting to the Istanbul Technopark (Pendik/Istanbul) location.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience in the field of information technology within the defense industry, technology, R&D, or electronics manufacturing sectors,
  • Experience in managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services,
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 admin center, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, and user management processes,
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar,
  • Experience in the installation or management of firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless network systems,
  • Experience in Linux system administration, command-line usage, user and permission management, and the management of core system services,
  • Ability to perform basic system administration and automation tasks using scripting languages ​​such as PowerShell, Python, or similar,
  • Knowledge or experience regarding backup, disaster recovery, endpoint security, and system monitoring solutions,
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 information security standards and ITIL service management processes,
  • Proficiency in English sufficient to read and understand technical documentation.
