Digital Design Engineer

ERA RF Technologies, located at Teknopark Istanbul, develops domestic and national solutions in the fields of RF communication and defense technologies.

 

We are looking for an “Digital Design Engineer” to join our Digital Design team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the definition of system-level specifications and architecture,
  • Ensuring the seamless integration of subsystems by working in coordination with engineers from various disciplines,
  • Developing conceptual designs based on design requirements; modeling and simulating digital design blocks,
  • Designing, integrating, testing, and documenting digital design blocks in compliance with military and space standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering,
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital design following a bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years following a master’s degree,
  • Advanced-level experience in RTL design using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog,
  • Experience in designing with SoC FPGA architectures,
  • Experience in designing DMA architectures and AXI/AXI-Stream-based bus structures,
  • Practical knowledge of Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) synchronization techniques and timing closure/Static Timing Analysis (STA) methodologies,
  • Experience in testbench development, simulation, FPGA debugging, and the use of laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers),
  • Experience in the design, verification, and implementation of high-speed serial communication interfaces (e.g., JESD204B/C, GT-based) on FPGAs,
  • Experience in porting DSP/RF algorithms—developed in high-level modeling environments (such as MATLAB)—to FPGAs and verifying them on hardware,
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English,
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly,
  • Ability to adapt to technological changes and agile workflows,
  • Capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary projects and cross-functional teams,
  • No issues with commuting to the Istanbul Technopark (Pendik, Istanbul) location.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience with HLS (High-Level Synthesis),
  • Knowledge of verification using UVM (Universal Verification Methodology),
  • Ability to read electronic circuit diagrams and schematics used in FPGA designs,
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR),
  • Familiarity with high-frequency circuits,
  • Familiarity with RF transceiver architectures and fundamental RF-to-digital interface concepts,
  • General knowledge of communication systems and related subsystems,
  • Experience in defense, avionics, or space projects.
